Privacy
ArcadeBox is free to play and does not ask for an account. We describe here exactly what the site does today — nothing more.
What we store
Your personal best for each game, and the sound setting, are saved in your browser's localStorage, on your device. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
The leaderboard
Each game keeps a public table of its ten best runs on our server. If your score reaches it, you are asked for a three-character name, and that name, the score and the date are stored and shown to everyone. Nothing else is recorded, and the name is your own choice — please don't use it to identify yourself or anyone else. Scores are accepted as sent by the browser and are not verified.
Entering a name is optional: you can skip it and keep playing. If you want an entry removed, get in touch and we will delete it.
Audience measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which games they open. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and uses no fingerprinting: it cannot follow you across sites or recognise you on a later visit. What we see is aggregated — page views, country, browser and device type, and the site you arrived from. Because nothing is stored on your device, no consent banner is required.
What we don't do
There is no account system and no advertising network on the site at this time. Beyond the measurement described above, no cookies are set other than what is technically required to serve the pages.
Hosting
Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) in order to deliver pages to you.
Changes
If we ever add advertising, or any measurement beyond what is described above, this page will be updated before those features go live.
